Removing barriers to care.

The Leon Institute builds skilled leaders to transform care delivery in under-resourced communities.

The Leon Institute (TLI) was established in 2022 to provide innovative training for and with vulnerable and underserved communities to improve health outcomes. We are based in Southern California and operate statewide.

We focus on offering accessible programs and engaging instruction to bridge gaps in healthcare, housing, and behavioral health. Our institute embodies the values of teamwork, leadership, integrity, compassion, achievement, respect, equality, and service.

Training Programs

The Leon Institute prepares students to address health and the social drivers of health in various care settings.

As an institute, we offer a Community Health Worker Certificate Program as well as Custom Training options to prepare service providers to work effectively with clients, community members, and caregivers, addressing physical and emotional needs. Participants benefit from small classes, field experiences, and mentoring.

Hybrid or Online program options available!

There are a variety of formats in which we train in order to provide the best-tailored experience for participants.

Many of our topics come in three-hour modules that can be delivered in-person or online.

We also offer cohort-based trainings that meet daily for 1 to 4 weeks.
